To our valued Members and Partners:

We deeply regret to inform you that Digital Railroad (DRR) has shut down.

On October 15th we reported that the company had reduced its staff and was aggressively pursuing additional financing and/or a strategic partner. Unfortunately, those efforts were unsuccessful. Therefore Digital Railroad has been forced to close all operations.

Digital Railroad has attracted a loyal set of customers and partners, and we regret this unfortunate outcome. Without sufficient long-term financial support, the business had become unsustainable.

Thank you for allowing us to serve the photographic community these past few years.

A free, entertaining ramble through the streets of Arles on 11 July from 10 p.m. to 3 A.M.

Streetpulse project will be shown in Arles Festival during the Night of the Years. A special mouting and editing had been done with Seven T Project for the soundtrack. Some photographers that appear here on Streetpulse blog will participate with Tangophoto collective to this important event.

In a few years, the Night of the Years has become a highlight of Arles. The Night of the Year is taking over the streets of Arles with a free promenade for all comers from 10 pm untildawn. Schoolyards, monasteries and townhouses will be open to the press, agencies and photography collectives, with each participant putting on a screening covering the photo news of the year in their fields.

‘Heidis Land’ is about the zone between clichées and reality. Clichés are built up over a long time and

they infiltered our imaginations, thinkings and views on a country or culture. ‘Heidis Land’ is a

confrontation of the clichés in my mind and the reality as i live and feel it. ‘Heidis Land’ deals with the

perception of Switzerland the Swiss like to convey, and the tourists likes to see. But what do we see?

How do we want to be seen? Will our perception not deceived by a marketing almost bordering

propaganda and transfigured by a romanticized idea which is build up through time and history and

becomes a cliché?
